An amazing rocking chair attributed to R. W. Winfield. The Winfield rocking chair was first made in the mid 19th century and has become a design classic, there is an example in the Victoria and Albert museum. Known in Denmark as the Hans Christian Andersen chair due to a photograph of the author sitting in one, a Winfield chair is also included in the list of contents for Charles Dickens' house. We can only assume rocking is very good for the creative juices.
Professionally re-upholstered in a high quality Cognac leather.
