A rare and important Teak desk designed by Arne Vodder and made, we believe, by Sibast Furniture although there is no maker's mark. Dating from the early 1960's. The desk top has been re-veneered by a master Danish craftsman using a 50 year old Burma Teak veneer (the same age as the desk itself) which has been book-cut to give a fantastic grain pattern.
A beautiful example of mid-century Danish furniture design with six drawers to the front and two cupboards at the rear. The desk is in very good vintage condition with only a minor repair to one of the drawer pulls and with a traditional oiled finish. Complete with key.
